Toki is an exceptional host who warmed our hearts with friendly and loving care - using google translate we had alot of laughs. You are a very special person Toki and definitely a highlight of our trip. Toki was very helpful with organising things with and for us and Iwamura is a beautiful quiet town with no westerners. We loved our stay here! The location is beautiful as it is a wooden house in a little village, surrounded by nature. This place is inviting you to relax. This place is run by a family and they are extremely sweet and helpful. It was a pleasure to meet them and it made our trip even better. We loved the fact that there was a full kitchen available and everything was really clean. The breakfast of empanadas was amazing. It is easy to bring groceries from ena town. I would definitely come again! The only thing to mention is that there is only 1 toilet and 1 shower, so you'll have to share. All in all we had a lovely stay and we'll be back one day.

This stay was just amazing. Our host was so kind and the meals he had prepared were delicious. The products were fresh and you couldn’t make them more local : the mushrooms we had in our soup were taken directly from his garden. Moreover, the room were really cozy and comfy as well the sauna. I really recommend it if you want to see the Japanese countryside and enjoy a relaxing stay

Extraordinary settings, it was the most unusual place we stayed during our trip throughout Japan. The rooms were clean and had everything you need, the beds in the shared rooms were surprisingly spacious and the staff was very kind and attentive.

We chose this property for its convenient access to Tsukechi and Yumori. Sakashita and the property are located near the main road, making it easy to find. Although we initially reserved one room, we were pleasantly surprised to have access to the entire house. It’s a lovely traditional home—old yet well-maintained. The host was wonderful and incredibly friendly. Overall, everything was great, and we had a delightful stay.

Just 40 metres from restored Edo-era post town Magome-Juku, Chaya Hotel has simple traditional rooms with futon bedding and a tatami-mat floor.

Spent one night with my 72yo mother, hiking the postal route. Magome Chaya have great hospitality, delicious meals, and comfortable and authentic Japanese accomodations. The location is perfect: Right on the postal route. We would especially like to thank our host, lovely Jeng, for her sensitivity and kindness to my mother (First time in Japan and needed some extra help ;)) We had a wonderful time and strongly recommend the mintshuko!
