I had an amazing experience staying at J-Hoppers hostel. The staff is so friendly, rooms and bathrooms very spacious and clean. I extended my staying twice as I felt so comfortable there. I really recommend this place is Beppu! As a bonus they have a good kitchen I could cook small dishes, very convenient.

The staff was very nice and available. I had a spacious room even though I was a solo traveller. There is a kitchen if you want to cook anything, and hot and cold drinks are available for free at anytime. I had a really confortable stay at Beppu Hostel U&T, I recommend you to stay here while visiting Beppu. It's very close to the Beppu Station (10 min walk).

I really enjoyed my stay! The hosts were so kind, and took their time to talk about what I should do in the area... that was really special. The home itself is very cute, simple, and feels like home! The room had everything I needed for my stay, and was really conveniently located. If I return to Beppu, I'll stay again!

The couple that runs the place are the nicest and so helpful even though we can't speak Japanese. Place is so clean and comfy, kitchen was fully equipped for all our daily meals. Love the plants and decor around the main floor.

It's much better than the rating suggests. The room is cheap, fairly large, and very comfortable, and it's very well located in the city. The only bathroom is a bit rundown, but you get tickets to go to the onsen next door every day. There's a rooftop and a kitchen. I recommend it.
