Beautiful room in an old palazzo, directly next to the cathedral- a fantastic location from which to explore Parma. The owner was very friendly and arrival process was smooth despite there being no check-in desk at the property. I had to leave early in the morning but this was no problem either as you could just leave the keys in the room. There were some helpful leaflets for restaurants (I tried one and it was great- Osteria dello Zingero) and the room even had some teas and coffees and was equipped with a fridge with water in it. Every little detail had been thought of.

The rooms was small but had everything we needed, well equipped and clean. You get in the apartment using a code the host sends you to unlock the mail doors, so you can check in late which was very important for us since we arrived before midnight. There was a possibility to leave our bags for a couple of hours while we were sightseeing. The host doesn’t speak much English but is very friendly and communicative.
