Staying at Guesthouse da Idolina dal 1946 in Montalcino was an absolute delight. Fulvia, the host, was exceptional—attentive, welcoming, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay memorable. The guesthouse itself is a gem, beautifully preserved and lovingly maintained over the decades. It perfectly balances tradition with modern comfort. The room was cozy and elegant, with an outstanding bed and mattress that offered the most restful sleep I've had—better than even the finest 5-star hotels. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the private bathrooms were well-equipped with everything needed. The shared kitchen and sitting area added to the charm, providing a warm and inviting space to enjoy tea, coffee, and delightful cookies. The location was ideal, within walking distance of everything in Montalcino. Fulvia went above and beyond to arrange nearby parking and recommended fantastic local restaurants just steps away for a perfect Tuscan dinner. Breakfast was another highlight. Guests can choose to enjoy it in the guesthouse or at one of two nearby bars. We opted for Belvedere Bar, where we sipped espresso and savored cornetti while taking in breathtaking views of the classic Tuscan countryside—a truly unforgettable experience. Guesthouse da Idolina dal 1946 is an extraordinary blend of tradition, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Fulvia’s care and attention to detail make this a place I would return to without hesitation. Great stay! We were very close to the city, and in a very comfortable apartment. The family that runs the place was very helpful and went out of their way to help us in a couple of moments where we needed some assistance.

The apartment looks brand new and is impeccably clean. We loved it. The host was very kind: she facilitated an early check-in and supplied us with a fan because it was a hot day.

We love loved the location, it was lovely to stay within the old town. All the thoughtful touches within the suite - the thick curtains to block out dawn so you could sleep in comfortably. The air con was on chilling the room beautifully as we arrived from a hot day of travelling. Breakfast thoughtful inclusions for all tastes.
