Quite a treat. Clean, comfy, quiet, superb location with a stunning view of the snowcapped mountains across the fjord. Kitchen is small but well equipped with everything in perfect condition and again, what a view. Lina, the owner, is a sweetheart, gave me what I needed to wrap,a parcel for mailing and let me leave my bag and my food in the fridge after checkout as I had a later bus.

La la LOVE the location, view out to sea, and the artwork on the walls in the rooms and in hallways. We wanted to try the Settlement Museum restaurant but the ambience of this place's restaurant won by leaps and bounds so we ate here again on the second night (fish buffet is brilliant). Loved room #101....in an old building upstairs is always quieter. The staff were quick and helpful.

The guesthouse was spectacular. We stayed in the main house, and it was like staying at your grandmother's house - very clean and super-cosy. We felt at home immediately. The Christmas decorations and lights were so beautiful. I have never felt so rested after a stay. We ate locally, and there were some nice places to choose from. If you don't want to eat out, there is a fully equipped kitchen that you can use. The cafe and shop downstairs was just as cosy and welcoming. Blomsetrið has some more choices of accommodation beside the cafe, and they were really beautiful. I will definitely be back!

The staff were super friendly! we arrived a bit a early and they allowed us to check in! The kitchen had everything you needed to cook or prepare a meal. Loved the coffee machine! The room were small and cosy! The washroom and shower were clean and nice hot water! The wifi worked great ! And if you are lucky you'll get the meet the awesome chocolate lab that belongs to the owners! We had a great stay!

Located next to Lake Blundsvatn, this guest house is 15 minutes’ drive off Iceland’s Ring Road.

The description was exact but no words can describe the exquisite design nor the landscape. It is an experience like no other. My 18 year old daughter and I stayed in an artists cottage and from the moment we spotted the property, we knew it was special. The communication and directions were excellent so our arrival and check in were seemless. It is pricey, but it deserves to be.
