The River Loom is a fantastic place beautifully set in nature, immediately on a river bank and a stone throw away from the beach. The room was nicely decorated and had everything needed for a short stay. We particularly loved the garden and the terrace with all its beautiful plants! The host and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! We came as guests and left as friends :-). Absolutely recommendable without reservations!

Asok kept in contact from the point that I made the booking to when I arrived at La Casa and where he and his family met me at the door with a welcome and a smile. This continued throughout my three night stay and during which I felt welcomed and comfortable, although not where my privacy was undermined. Asok is a good judge of what people want. Asok made me a lovely breakfast each morning, and I had free access to the kitchen. My accommodation had been well prepared for my arrival. It was clean, tidy, and spacious, and everything, including the a/c, worked really well. The internet failed for a short while, but Asok did everything he could to resolve this with the telecommunications company, and this was dealt with fairly quickly. The internet works well. I often shy away from homestay as I am an introvert, and I dislike staying in someone's home. That being said, staying at La Casa was such a comfortable experience and meeting and getting to know Asok and his family a joy. When I return to the south of India, I would intend to stay here again.

The property is clean, comfortable and relaxing. They even provide a living area with a sofa, table and plates etc for a nice place to have dinner. I have been unwell and the hosts went out of their way to get me medicine and even offered to call the doctors for me! Such a wonderful couple who have showed so much kindness and care towards us during our stay. Would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area it is great value for money and the hosts make it even better with their kindness and hospitality!

Where to start this review - so much I want to say ! We had a fabulous time at the lovely home of Senthil and his wife Aswathy. Our bedroom and en-suite bathroom and the common living space and kitchen outside our room were absolutely spotless , as were the sheets and towels . It was like walking into an oasis of peace and calm. There is only one other bedroom on our floor and one downstairs on the ground floor . The house is in a lovely quiet area surrounded by trees and is a great location from which to explore further afield by car (Senthil can organise a driver and itinerary for you) or locally by a short tuk tuk ride. We used Uber tuk tuks as they were easy and cheaper than others. Senthil and Aswathy could not have been any kinder or more helpful. Communication from the start was excellent. We kept messing around the dates of our booking and Senthil was extremely patient and accommodating. We came for 3 nights and stayed for 4 as there is so much to see and we didn’t really want to leave. Highlights were the temples, palaces and a day of treatment at the authentic Mitra Ayurvedic Hospital! Senthil managed to get us an appointment for the next day but I would advise asking him to book it for you as soon as you know your dates so you don’t miss out. Aswathy provided the most delicious authentic home cooked meals on request using only the freshest ingredients. We had 3 breakfasts, an incredible lunch and 3 dinners during our stay. All were delicious and the importance of food culture was explained at each meal. We noticed some reviews mentioned the sound of the planes overhead (as this whole area is quite near the airport) and we heard a few, some nights more than others, but it honestly didn’t bother or disturb us at all. We sleep with earplugs anyway. I don’t think they go all night but not sure as we were asleep! We can’t fault this homestay and will be recommending it to our family and friends. We hope to come back soon.
