Without any expectations i travelled to a budget friendly place, but the hospitality and food served for me was the best part, Anayan the care taker was awesome, owners of the resort always checks our comfort zone and kept me happy, so happy with the overall experience. Very nice calm and peaceful place at the river. A very quiet neighbourhood in a bustling town. The host family did the best for our pleasant stay - we felt very comfortable - very welcoming place. There is a big garden with many fruit trees. Wonderful dinner and breakfast. They organised us transport - don't hesitate to contact the owner before your stay - they are very helpful. Hope to stay there again.

Beautiful garden on a canal. Village life in the backwaters. We ate every evening at the homestay as the home cooked food was delicious. Lunch snacks from stalls nearby. Ajith and his parents were perfect hosts; welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful, respectful, can’t praise them enough. Come here to rest and relax.

Breakfast was typical of the region,so to the western palate was a bit strange but we soon got to like it. It was followed by Marsala omlette which was great. The chef Amal was always on hand to make lemon sodas or fresh orange juice which he did frequently as it was so hot Vaikash the manager was very helpful , even to the extent of filming the route into the village so we wouldn’t get lost The Heritage hotel is set down a side street and as soon as we were through the gate we left the sounds of people and traffic behind us It is a bit remote but for us that was the attraction. The village was a ten minute walk and the lake shore was a short Tuk Tuk ride away All four members of the staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible The pool was well maintained and was a godsend in the hot weather We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will make a point of returning

You need some form of transportation to get around. Other than that the owners are super friendly, you can order food. The garden is super nice and the whole backwaters area is really pretty. I recommend checking out the bird sanctuary very early in the morning. He also offer to use the boat for 1000rupees/hr

Divya went out of her way to make us welcome and suggest activities for us. The food was wonderful and we particularly enjoyed our dinner on the house boat. The boat trip in the morning allowed us to see a wide variety of birds and enjoy the peaceful backwaters.

Seriously an excellent homestay experience. You're in gorgeous jungle farmland, with amazingly friendly and helpful hosts, and the rooms are very comfortable. I can't recommend enough. There is a pool, a river right outside with boats and kayaks in the right season. Birds and other friendly critters about. Remote enough but also food delivery is available and they cook amazing free breakfast everyday. Excellent dinners are provided daily if desired for a very reasonable price. You should stay here!

Very beautiful and quiet scenery, because the homestay is in the middle of the nature. Ajith and his family are the sweetest and most generous people and helped us with all our questions. One morning we did canoeing which was very nice in the surroundings of the homestay. The evening dinners and breakfast were cooked by Ajiths mother which were very tasty. Because we liked the atmosphere at the place so much we booked an additional night.

Good quiet area but Kottayam was s so close if you want to go to the city. Ajidh and his family are absolutely superb and will help you in every question. We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Kutticattil Homestay and will definitely recommend everyone to stay there if you’re travelling in this area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kuttickattil Gardens Homestay. Ajith and his family were fabulous hosts and the food was delicious! It was especially nice to have access to a small kitchen and fridge, as well as a washing machine. They also provided drinking water for refilling our water bottles. We highly recommend staying at Kuttickattil Homestay!

Have you ever wondered what made Kerala gods own country; try to stay at this place and experience. It’s Set in a serene backdrop and traditional spirits. We loved our stay there and time we spend the host family. It was absolutely delightful to be with whole team. Manager - Renju will organise everything that you need and big thanks to Susan, her brother, the Ammachi the whole team was blissful. Highly recommended.
