The breakfast was the best one i had in Kerala, Suzan Aunty is the one of the best host, very warm and helpful. Her hospitality and the way she cares about the guest is commendable. She made our whole family feel at home, we celebrated my sisters 50th birthday there and she let us decorate the living room to party in it. It is very close to the beach, restaurants and cafes around. She helped me book house boat and massage as well.

It was an amazing stay! The heritage home is beautiful and it seems that you step back in time. The area is very tranquil, the garden and the view are so serene. Mr.George, the owner as well as Mr Sanoj were both very welcoming and honorable men. We felt like so welcomed that it almost seemed we were visiting a friend's or family house. The breakfast was very good. We received a lot of help during our stay with our journey, a ride to the bank, informations about all kind of things and a boat tour recommendation, which was amazing. It was by far our best stay in India, thank you!

The view on the lake couldn’t be more beautiful, you are literally in front of the lake and could tip your toes in it if you wanted to. The garden is very well maintained with hamacs and benches, it is particularly nice to have breakfast there in the morning or wake up early to admire the sunrise. It is a very peaceful place, ideal to get some good rest. The quality of the service from the staff is exceptional, very kind and attentive people looking to make you have the best possible experience. The food they serve is also nice and varied, a good way to discover Indian food (with the option of asking it served not too spicy).

Great location with lovely clean spacious modern rooms. The owner Jose is absolutely fantastic with organising tours, transport etc. Lovely home cooked meals are available and we had the pleasure or enjoying dinner with Jose while learning about local culture and customs. A lot of work has gone into making this homestay so perfect so I really recommend everyone visiting Alleppey visits the Kalapura Homestay.

Loved staying at Kalappura homestay! Jose and his family were great hosts. The room was super comfortable, with a very soft bed and a hot shower! There is a nice common area and the location is great. Jose also helped us with booking the boat tour Fientje backwaters. He was kind enough to drive us to a restaurant he recommended and offered to pick us up due to the heavy rain! The price is very reasonable and the other staff members are nice. We had a wonderful time at the Venitia homestay. The place is so close to the beach, the host family is unbelievably welcoming and nice and the food was great.

The host family was so welcoming and kind. They couldn't do enough for us during our stay. They helped us with trip bookings, tuk tuks, and laundry. The breakfast were big feasts! The host made different local dishes each morning. The home stay was in a quiet area, not far from the beach and a few restaurants. The room and living area was really clean - one of the cleanest rooms we've had so far on our trip in India.

The hosts Albert and Sunitha are extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They are a warm family who are great hosts. Sunitha is a great chef who makes customised authentic kerelan meals for all 3 meals a day! Another guest celebrated their wedding anniversary there and the host family went above and beyond with decorations and cake! The room was clean. The homestay is right on the beach with great sunset views. We stayed at hotels during our trip but the experience and service here was far better!
