Recently renovated, the property is excellent value. The location is also great, backing onto a canal and within a short walk of the main shops, but far enough away to have peace and quiet. The host Robin is amazing, and always keen to help with whatever you need.

The best homestay, if you are coming to Alleppey and want to enjoy tasty Kerala food, budget friendly, experience true hospitality, with the opportunity to make wonderful friends and in a great location just 2 minutes walk from the beach then Venitia Homestay is the right choice. There is the option of Fan or AC, we chose fan. The rooms are spacious, comfortable bed, and drinking water/glasses provided. The shower pressure is good, towels are provided and the windows in bedroom open fully to allow good air circulation if needed. The first visit, (we stayed here 3 times in total), we extended our trip and stayed for 8 nights and the bed linen/towels were changed without even asking. There is space to relax here, on the balcony, interacting with the family or even up to the rooftop to admire the stars at night. The family are so lovely, their hospitality is 5* and it feels like a home away from home. Jeeja's cooking is so good, we ate nearly all our meals here, some at the family dining area downstairs and some upstairs near our room, vegetarian/meat/fish/spicy/not spicy she is very accommodating and for myself just a little sugar in the best masala chai in Kerala 😊 Jeeja the Masala Chai Queen ☺️ If they could help us in any way they did so, they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, to look after us and arrange trips/recommend places to visit. We even did some exploring with Aakash, went to the cinema together, and enjoyed many conversations with all the family. Staying with this kind, caring, friendly and fun family has been a true highlight of my visit to Kerala, and I look forward to visiting them again next time I return to Kerala. I recommend sunrise kayaking, the budget friendly Vega government boat trip, KSRTC Gavi trip, the beach near by, and generally just exploring the area.

Everything was amazing but the most amazing was our host! Wonderful Lady who made us feel like at home. She made delicious breakfast and made us sandwich for morning boat activitie. One of the best place i have ever stayed. Strongly recomend!

The hosting family was very welcoming and we were feeling directly almost part of their family. The rooms are clean and good, located 20m to the beach. The breakfast and especially the dinner were delicious! We were doing Yoga by a teacher in the morning on the Terrasse.

A Truly Wonderful Experience!" From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of the family! The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The room was good, clean and spacious. The highlight of the place was the freshly made local variety breakfast made by the owner's lovely mom. The manager at the homestay, Sanoj, was prompt and very helpful. The location of the place is close to the backwaters but it a little away from the main area of the city. Food options are available around the homestay and delivery through food apps is also possible.

Loved staying at Kalappura homestay! Jose and his family were great hosts. The room was super comfortable, with a very soft bed and a hot shower! There is a nice common area and the location is great. Jose also helped us with booking the boat tour Fientje backwaters. He provided us with different options so we could decide what type of tour we wanted to do. Thanks Jose & fam for your hospitality!

This homestay is clean and comfortable with an uplifting and quirky vibe. Johnson is a lovely host who clearly really cares about the environment. He was kind enough to drive us to a restaurant he recommended and offered to pick us up due to the heavy rain! The price is very reasonable and the other staff members are nice. We felt very looked after.

Great host family! Clean room and lovely breakfast. Was fun chatting with them and also playing badminton in the evening. Very close to the beach with some nice and cheap restaurant options.

We had a wonderful time at the Venitia homestay. The place is so close to the beach, the host family is unbelievably welcoming and nice and the food was great.

The host family was so welcoming and kind. They couldn't do enough for us during our stay. They helped us with trip bookings, tuk tuks, and laundry. The breakfast were big feasts! The host made different local dishes each morning. The home stay was in a quiet area, not far from the beach and a few restaurants. The room and living area was really clean - one of the cleanest rooms we've had so far on our trip in India.

The hosts Albert and Sunitha are extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They are a warm family who are great hosts. Sunitha is a great chef who makes customised authentic kerelan meals for all 3 meals a day! Another guest celebrated their wedding anniversary there and the host family went above and beyond with decorations and cake! The room was clean. The homestay is right on the beach with great sunset views. We stayed at hotels during our trip but the experience and service here was far better!
