The staff were so friendly telling us about local markets and places to go as well as booking tuk tuks for us and booking our jungle trek! The jungle trek itself was amazing and an experience I will never forget with Alex, Tenjong and Ari as our guides. They go above and beyond to make sure you're having the best time. 10/10 recommend

Alek, the owner, is very available to help us to find the best guide to do a trek in the jungle during 3days to see Orangs outang and other monkeys. He helps us to do laundry, find a taxi to arrive and to leave Bukit Lawang. We visited the bat cave, the market on Friday and the recycling factory near the homestay. The room was comfortable, the bed was very big and comfortable too, with a mosquito net. You can swim every day in the river just in front of the guesthouse with a lot of local kids. There is a restaurant in the homestay or around. You can ask what you need to Alek, he knows every body in Bukit Lawang;-) Thank you Alek for your welcoming.

Lovely spacious rooms with gorgeous balcony and view. Rooms were very clean with flushing toilets! Easy walk into town where there’s lots of restaurants and a supermarket. The owner and staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. We felt very safe and welcome here. They cooked us lovely banana pancakes for breakfast and a lovely lunch.

The owners are very friendly and went out of their way to be accommodating to us. We arranged our three day trek through them and it was really amazing (we had udin, Ari and Bess). The rooms are simple but have a fan so it doesn't get hot through the night. There's a nice shared area for the two rooms that has a table, hammocks and view of the monkeys in a nearby tree. It's a close walk to the river and shops/restaurants (1-5 minutes). The family also cooks a very tasty omelette for breakfast too.

This place has a wonderful view of the rice fields. It is very quite and a few km away from the main area so on the streets to reach the hotel you get to see how local people really live. The staff is very friendly and pro active they organized the trekking (we got to see two huge orangutan!!!) for us and all the transfers we needed. They speak English very well and they bring you with the bike wherever you want. The bungalow is lovely and clean. I would return for sure. Don’t miss it!
