This place was simple but pristine. Comfortable bed, good water pressure, good wifi and a freshly cooked breakfast into the bargain. Meals are available in the early evening for a small price. The staff were very kind and easy to deal with. The guesthouse is on the route up to the Mt Bromo crater.

We had a nice stay at Cahyo homestay! People in the reviews were complaining about cold shower, but we didn’t have any problem with that - we had hot water any time during the day. The owner kindly allowed us an early check-in, so we could sleep after the sunrise tour. There’s no kettle in the room, but we asked the owner and they brought us a thermos with hot water. Also, the view from the homestay is amazing! We really recommend to spend a night there and enjoy the morning views from the village.

Such a beautiful area! If you love nature and mountainous countryside you'll be served. Lovely caretaker, language barrier easily crossed. One of the first times in a month I had a clean room, a clean bed and a hot shower 🤩 Stayed one night but could have stayed more.

    Friendly staff, Angri gave good explanations on how to get to Bromo, which options with motorbikes/jeep, cost. Nice surroundings with houses, gardens, cafe 3min, good restaurant 3min down the road. The homestay itself has a small resto, even if some things are not freshly made, but it is very useful when arriving late or for breakfast. we liked the banana pancakes. Beds were comfortable, one could relax in the sun or shade in front of the house.

    The mother of the man who normally manages this homestay was in charge for us all the time. And she was fantastic! Very kind, very sweet. She didn't speak English but we just managed to communicate via Translator-App.

    In this price range we were happy with this homestay :) Room was big, clean. Very comfortable couches in the hall, hot shower with enough space to hang your clothes etc. Everything was clean enough. Good location.

    Simple and efficient homestay to spend one night in Cemoro Lawang before hiking Bromo. The bed was warm, the bathroom was not the most comfortable but enough for one night. The place was clean to me, its not the prettiest but you don't need that if you just come for Bromo

    Cahyo homestay is well located inside Bromo village that must pay an entrance fee of 250K pp (25 AUD pp), 50K (5 AUD) for vehicles entrance. The property is between the Bromo crater and the King Kong hills. It’s a perfect spot for ppl who want to hike. The room itself is a decent size and in a clean condition given how remote and suburban the area is. Cahyo is a lovely host that has given us good guidelines on how to go about hiking Bomo in the early morning, and had offered hot water for coffee and tea. Would recommend him for hikers.

    The host family was very friendly and helpful. They organized the Bromo Tour for me and everything was perfect. Furthermore the meals in the restaurant of their Homestay are very delicious. I would definitely would come back.

    A homestay that truly feels like home. The perfect combination of comfortable and authentic. Lovely hosts that speak English. Nights by the fireplace. Breakfast included. Beautiful area. Very clean, hot water in the shower. Thomas gives good advice on hikes and walks you can do in the national park. This place is without a doubt the best place I've stayed at on my tour of Indonesia.
