Very calm place, hipi style. You can feel like in the jungle. Fantastic coffee and very nice food in the bar. There is also gallery on site. Staff is great. Location bit far from the center so you need to have your own transport.

This is the best homestay in Yogyakarta! The hosts, Pak Andy and his family, are musicians and artists, with a wealth of knowledge and involvement in the local art and music scene. I also found them to be quite environmentally conscious with a deep love for nature. During our visit I meet one of the other guests staying here, whom, I found out, had stayed with Pak Andy at his guesthouse 15 years ago. This is more than a guest house, it is very much a home! I highly highly recommend staying at Omah Guyub Home stay - or even, check out Omah Guyub 2.

Very welcoming staff (+give us tea and things to eat when we arrived or notice us chilling on our terrace). Terrace was beautiful (note that this was this specific room, maybe not all are the same), as well as the spot / swiming pool (very green, just like the photos). The staff were amazing. The hospitality of staff in Indonesia is amazing. Little things like when we left, one of the staff offered to fill my kids water bottles for the journey without prompting. Very caring. Or after the kids had been swimming they offered us a drying rack without prompting. Breakfast for the kids was great; either omlette, toast or pancakes. Cereal was available 24/7. The pool was available 24/7, with lighting overnight. Honestly amazing hotel and staff, so great value too. They were very accomodating with us on our check out day even though they were fully booked that night.
