This was a great stay at Heft View Rose Cottage. The room is beautiful and the great host had laid on everything you would need / want and more. The welcome messages were super helpful and warm. The room was blissfully quiet and so well provisioned. I would love to return.

It is a hidden gem. Beautiful, remote location but close to everything. Spotlessly clean, super friendly staff and beautiful rustic decor. Outstanding views from the window. Dog friendly too :-)

On the shores of Levens Estuary, The Bay Horse Hotel is just 2 miles from Ulverston centre. With cosy log fires and a traditional restaurant, there is also free parking and free Wi-Fi.

We enjoyed a relaxing 2 night stay in this warm and welcoming hotel. The weather was not good, but we happily passed the time watching the birds on the estuary, had lunch in the conservatory and evening drinks by the fire in the bar. Staff were all friendly and efficient and helped to make it a very pleasant time for us. Next time we hope to be able to do some walks! We came by train to Ulverston - from the station it’s an hour’s walk along the canal - or you can take a taxi!

Newly decorated room. A nice place to stay in Bowness. The location is the best for going arround. Quiet but easy to reach the lake, bus station, restaurants, shops and the railway station. Recommend it!
