The location is perfect. Close to Beer and walking and The Grizzly running event. The room was very clean. Comfortable bed. Powerful shower. Extra heater if required. WiFi good. Lots of towels. Milk and water in the fridge. Good coffee. Even a chocolate and biscuits. Quiet. Great views. Lots of character.

We love the Salty Monk this is the second time we have stayed it’s very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is very good and nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful garden and lots of parking.

Great location to explore the area with an excellent pub with great food just minutes walk away. The room was very quiet, clean and has separate access. Lynne and Alan were very welcoming and the cream tea was a delicious treat!

A little out in the sticks but a lovely stay. We were after a night away from home, and from the kids, not too far away, with a bath facility since we don't have this at home. Really comfortable bed, big window with a lovely view over the garden and nearby forest. Bathroom was nicely decorated, and we thoroughly enjoyed a soak in a hot bath. Close to Axminster, where we went out to dinner at a favourite restaurant before returning for the night to unwind.
