The staff is friendly and always ready to help, the hostel itself is very clean, there is everything you need, such as soap, toilet paper, towels, which we were offered to exchange for clean ones if necessary. They offer free coffee and tea with mini-muffins and small sweets in a bowl for guests. These are small things, but very pleasant) The location is the city center, so you can easily find a place to have lunch and see the sights

Literally a one minute walk from the bus station, and only slightly longer from the train stations, Hostal Cabo Mayor seems to be the perfect location for the budget-conscious tourist. Moreover Calle Cadiz leads straight into the heart of Santander, making it almost impossible to become lost. Very conveniently for me the early check-in time of 10:00a.m. allowed me to take advantage of an early morning bus from my previous stay. The room includes a fridge and kettle and is quite spacious.

Whilst Santander is a bit too touristy for me, the accommodation is excellent. It's a ten-minute walk from the bus and train stations. Plus it's situated between the old town and the area where the locals shop, eat and drink.

Great host went above and beyond to help us and made recommendations for the city (sights, restaurants etc), the rooms are virtually brand new so in excellent condition and very clean. Good facilities - powerful shower, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, fridge etc. 5 mins walk from main bus station, 5 mins walk to main bar/restaurant area. Really spot on.

The room was incredible for the price I paid (34 euro for a double room!) it had great views from the room, the bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was spotless with a powerful shower. The hotel was perfectly located close to some great 'locals' bars. For the price I paid it exceeded my expectations.
