Exceptional little hotel in la Liébana region of Cantabria. The passionate staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Homemade food and hearty breakfasts will set you ready to explore the historical towns and beautiful mountains, home to bears, wolves and perhaps the last capercaillies left in Iberian lands. A special mention to Mari Cruz and the rest of the team (this may sound like one of those IA generated fake reviews, but believe me, it is not): they are the kind of staff that truly puts all their heart in what they do. They will try remembering guests names and what they had for breakfast the day before. Always keen to help you enjoy your stay and make the most of it.

Posada del Oso was a highlight of our trip to Cantábria. Of all the hotels and posadas we stayed, Posada del Oso was by far the best. The spot is beautiful with stunning views of the valley and mountains around. The room was spacious, decorated on wooden chalet style, the beds and linen were super comfortable, the bathroom stocked with everything you need including a little sponge to clean the shoes, a little touch that made the difference when I needed to clean my boots after the rain. The place is just stunning inside out and has a handy free parking onsite. You can easily reach Potes and other villages around. The staff was friendly and gave us great tips to what to do, where to eat and things to see. The breakfast was another highlight of the stay with everything homemade, traditionally Spanish and super delicious. We truly enjoyed our stay and will come back for a longer stay when back to Cantábria.

Quaint guest house in a beautiful rural location. The host was lovely and even provided a supper service as the village was so remote. Immaculately clean. Wish we'd stayed longer

Staff is 10/10. Room is sparkling clean. Breakfast is good enough. Best value for money less than 2min drive from Potes. Why choosing something else? Maybe for a more comfortable bed?

Hostal Poncebos is 500 metres from Bulnes Funicular Railway on the Cares Route in the Picos de Europa National Park. Rooms have free Wi-Fi and views over Cares River and the mountains.

Everything was top notch. Traveled alone and stayed in private room with shared bath. There were so many washrooms, it was never an issue that it was "shared". Everything was super clean. The location is the hotel is without peer. Take the bus for next to nothing to get to Poncebos, and your in the middle of hiking heaven. I had dinner and lunch on a few occasions and it was delicious with very generous portions. The owners were always present and very friendly. They helped arrange a taxi for my super early departure on my last morning... with zero Spanish, I very much appreciated the help. Don't even bother looking elsewhere for your stay in the Picos, this is the best.

Situated in Llanes, in a historic building, 31 km from Desfiladero de la Hermida, Hotel Boutique Santuario Kunturi - Adults Only is a recently renovated homestay with an open-air bath and garden.

We are so happy we chose to stay here. The host, Elena, is gracious and welcoming and her house and rooms beautiful. Comfortable beds, lovely decor, great views and just a short walk into Potes. The breakfast is amazing and Elena made sure to ask what we would like to eat. Best place in town.

The host-Kora.The best host I have ever had. She helped with every detail of our planning. She even dropped us at Funte de since we didn't have a car. They stay was beautiful and clean. Location also great.
