Our stay at Forest B&B was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the wonderful owner, Xiaoxi, made us feel like a part of her family. Her warmth and hospitality are the heart of this beautiful place. The B&B itself is a haven of peace and beauty, set in a stunning location overlooking the moutains. It’s the perfect escape for anyone looking to relax and recharge. Our room was impeccably clean and had every facility you could possibly dream of, no detail was overlooked. A special mention for Xiaoxi's two lovely cats, who added an extra layer of homely comfort to our stay. We are incredibly grateful to have found such a special place with such a heartwarming feeling. I cannot recommend Forest B&B highly enough and will definitely be returning!

This guest house is excellently located and offers great value for money. It is a five-minute walk from one of the entrances to the old town. It is a very nice hotel and we had a fantastic, spacious room with modern furnishings, which was very clean. There was also a small outdoor terrace and a clothesline for drying clothes. The guest house is run by the owner and his wife, who had a young son. The fact that the owner speaks good English makes things much easier and allows him to recommend other places in beautiful Dali and the surrounding area of Lake Erhai: biking aorund the lake, visiting the nearby town of Xizhou (very beautiful too!) and Zhoucheng (a truly Bai village.) The owner also helped me with some glasses that I had lost on the plane, calling the airport in several occasions. On the day we left, he even took us to the airport in his own car, as he was picking up a friend a little later. If you go to this guest house, be sure to visit the restaurant next door, which specialises in mushrooms (although it serves many other dishes too). You can enjoy your mushrooms in a hot pot. It's a real treat that showcases the flavours of the region, and the staff are extremely friendly and happy to help you try new dishes

It is a cosy hotel not to be missed if you come to Dali . Staff are extremely friendly and helpful . The bed is clean and comfortable . The Location is Next to the lake yet close to all amenities, quiet and relaxing , also convenient We ordered coffees every morning and to our surprise , it was Melbourne’s quality In summary , we had a great experience in Dali and a memorable stay in this cosy comfortable hostel . Highly recommend to anyone , especially those from overseas , as the owner understands the need of people not from local 💐
