I had an amazing time and a real authentic experience at Maria and Alvaro’s lodge. The location is beautiful, out of the town of Hanga Roa and in the countryside and nature of Rapa Nui. The lodge is a very relaxed environment, it is like living with a Rapa Nui family - they are both very kind and helpful people, and can provide you with anything you need/take you in the car if you require it. Maria’s cooking is fantastic, she provides a great breakfast and she will cook you whatever you want, including delicious authentic Rapa Nui food for a small price. Alvaro is a certified tour guide and I had great fun doing 2 full day tours to see the main sites, at a very reasonable price (especially as it was a private tour). The tour also includes lunch from Maria so is very good value. They have a very friendly dog Tuki who was my tour guide for the first afternoon, escorting me all the way to the beach! Wonderful people in a beautiful location and I hope to return again some day - gracias Maria y Alvaro!

This is a true gem. We have never met hosts like these ones. The couple, Pamela and Carlos, are not only nice and friendly and accommodating, but they seriously try to do whatever it takes to make your Rapa Nui experience unforgettable. They offer an airport transfer and a delicious breakfast at no additional cost, even though these are not included in the booking.com offer. They recommend tour agencies, restaurants and other points of interest that are super reliable. They go as far as taking you to some places if you cannot afford other means of visiting. Don't overuse their kindness! As for the Hostal: the room is quite spacious, the bed is very comfortable, all spaces are spotless clean, especially the bathroom. The room is decorated with much taste. You can use the amazingly beautiful outside terraces with lots of flowers to relax. There is a common kitchen shared by all rooms, which is superbly equipped with everything necessary, even for cooking yourself, which you won't do, because the food offered in the restaurants is delicious. Even though there is no air con, the temperature in the room is pleasant with windows open. There are some chickens in the backyard and a lovely cat, that adores snacks. Overall the quality that you receive for the money paid is unbelievable, so look no further and book now!

Amazing location, close to the Main Street and you can walk from the airport (10min). The host is really nice, keeping you informed of all activities on the island every day through WhatsApp. The hostel is cleaned multiple times a day. There are many bathrooms and a full kitchen.

Exceeded expectation Carlos and Yolanda are such wonderful people. It was honestly like a home away from home. It's a nice little walk to town, and you're far enough away that you get the tranquility of the countryside. Carlos was so nice to pick me up and drive me to the airport. Would give a higher rating if I could can't recommend this spot enough

Great value for money. It’s a bit far from town, this is the only negative thing but this house is way cheaper than others so even I take a taxi to go to the town, is’s still reasonable. The best thing is hosts, I’ve never experienced such a high level of kinndness from hosts.

Our stay at Hostal Vieroto was fantastic. The location is unbeatable, right across from the ocean, with a breathtaking view. It's just a ten-minute walk to the free Moai statues, perfect for catching both sunrise and sunset. The room was clean, and the communal kitchen made it easy to prepare our own meals. The host Claudio went above and beyond by helping us find a reliable local tour guide, making our Easter Island trip smooth and enjoyable. Even though we only stayed for two nights, it wasn't enough—we're definitely coming back!
