To start, i cannot find the words to describe the view from the hotel. It was one of the best views i’ve ever seen in my entire life. The hotel is located up in the mountains but it is accessible by car and they provide Free parking lots. We received the check in information before our stay and everything was smooth. The staff are really friendly and professional. All facilities are clean. Although there is no fridge in the room, each floor has a common one where u can put your food and label it. You have also an ironing table to use in the lobby. The last day was sunny so we enjoyed our breakfast outdoors. You can enjoy the walk around the hotel. I loved waking up hearing the bells on the cows. I enjoyed my stay and I would definitely come back. Thank you.

Great cozy apartment away from touristy crowdedness yet close enough to Spiez train station or Interlaken(30min). Would visit this house again on my next visit! Has microwave and mini fridge(it’s very small) but it’s all we needed and the house was equipped with heater, plates, cups, utensils. The owner was nice and helpful, too. :)

Wonderful views, apartment is in the heavenly Gimmelwald, most authentic village in switzerland, its a farm village, my kids enjoyed every bit of this village. Apartment is absolutely perfect, just next to cable car station, very beautiful and clean apartment, apartment have all the needed facilities like kitchen etc. They have also honesty shop for ice cream, i can even visit again just to eat the ice cream, best in the world so far. Host is very welcoming and nice. I will definitely return to this place again.

As the owners describe this is an old wooden house, but please don’t be put off by the word old. It’s is such a special building full of character and charm. The shared bathrooms were always clean and the huge kitchen in the basement is equipped with everything you need. Switzerland is not the cheapest place to eat out so being able to cook your own meals was very cost friendly. And now to the surroundings.. wow is all I can really say. Alpenhof is basically the last house in the valley and the views around it were absolutely amazing. Snow topped mountains right behind, waterfalls all through the valley, a beautiful flat walk to lauterbrunnen. Dianne the owner only added to the charm of the place, we felt so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in somewhere so beautiful. As Mary Poppins said Alpenhof was “practically perfect in every way”
