A good-value stopover place to be noted, for it provides very comfortable accommodation - in the room I had, the double bed with its thick mattress and soft topper was one of the best I have ever slept in. The whole room was simply but well-furnished and decorated. Excellent wifi and the street outside is very quiet. Parking was not a problem. As the hotel's name implies, the restaurant offers excellent "Backhendl" - a very tasty chicken cooked in breadcrumbs - an Austrian speciality definitely worth ordering. Friendly service and an easy self check-in procedure (provided you have a smartphone with you).

This was a joyful stay, welcoming and engaging host on arrival. Later to discover that the owner was the 'private' chef and came to chat at our table prior to preparing a delightful meal for us both. Our stay here was one of the highlites for us.... many thanks!!!
