Holiday Homes in Ranua

Our stay in the cabin was dreamy for both adults and kids. Outside there was a frozen lake, they had sleds for all the children, and in the evenings we peacefully searched for the aurora. Nearby you can go on husky and reindeer rides, and there’s also a zoo in Ranua. We also lit a fire outside and roasted marshmallows with the kids. The host also arranged ice fishing for us.

House was in a great location. Quite remote, which makes it even better. Perfect size for two families. Kitchen was equipped very well with all the necessary equipment. I think it would be a great place to visit at summer as well. Only one hour drive from Rovaniemi. Absolutely no problems with the owner or key handover in out of the check in time.

We spent 5 unforgettable days in this house with our family and dog, celebrated New Year’s, and were absolutely delighted! This was our first visit to Finland, and the experience exceeded all expectations. We were especially touched by the care of the hosts, who prepared for our arrival so thoroughly that even the cold weather couldn’t spoil our stay. They provided us with warm boots, ushanka hats, balaclavas, and gloves for the entire family — it was a pleasant and unexpected gesture, especially since we weren’t fully prepared for the local frosts. The house itself is simply magical! Warm, cozy, built from wood, with a large fireplace, a spacious living room, two bedrooms, and even a sleeping area on the stove — perfect for those who want to experience the true atmosphere of countryside living. All the furniture is new, the house is spotlessly clean, and everything is organized. We particularly appreciated the many small but useful items that are often overlooked, like zip bags, plastic wrap, a potato peeler, and more. The hosts exceeded all expectations by organizing incredible winter activities for us. They offered sleds, a snowmobile, fishing gear for ice fishing, and equipment for skiing in the forest. Thanks to them, we enjoyed an active and adventurous holiday in nature. All of these activities were available for an additional fee, which was perfectly fine with us. The sauna was a special treat! After enjoying 100-degree heat, it was pure bliss to jump straight into the snow — an unforgettable experience! Unlimited access to firewood made this even more convenient and enjoyable. The house is located in a stunningly beautiful area: you can step right out of the door to a lake, surrounded by a snowy forest. The scenery is breathtaking and creates an unforgettable atmosphere. The hosts were always available, ready to answer any questions, and even helped us with our car before our departure. Their sincerity and kindness truly won us over.

We were three families 6adults and 4 children and we were totally amazed at the Villa and the location on the edge of a lake. We had everything we wanted at our fingertips including a hot tub and sauna. The villa was beautifully built and had everything we needed to cook, play and live. We saw the northan lights over the lake and went husky riding, rendier and sleigh as well as motor skiing on the lake. We suggest hiring a car because the location is far away from other tourist spots. Thank you to our host who looked after all our needs for the most memorable trip ever.

A lovely mökki in a very private location by a lake. The owners came to meet us and explained everything, even which berries are the best to pick. There was so much to do (from hot tub through an outside sauna to a sup board, and much more) that we hardly wanted to go out and see things. Spent two super pleasant days there and hope to come back some day.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Best place we ever stayed. Perfect location in the woods by the lake. You can relax in the jacuzzi, sauna or sofa:) If you fancy, you can ski or just stroll around. No people, far from everything just perfect. !!! Higkly recomended. During winter please try sauna and swiming in the frozen lake !!!
