We enjoyed a lovely eight night stay at the Lazy Lion. Ella & Ricardo are the perfect hosts, very welcoming and friendly as were their staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable with a balcony and view over the lagoon. The pool area and gardens were fabulous. The breakfast was exceptional, offering freshly made buffet choices every morning, followed by a cooked option and was by far the best of our travels in SA. We will definitely return again next year and have already recommended it to friends.

We stayed at Atello in George for one night due to an early flight to Johannesburg the next morning and were pleasantly surprised by how lovely this place was. The hotel is really beautiful. Our room was spacious, very well designed, and extremely comfortable, with a large and stylish bathroom. The garden is absolutely stunning and added to the relaxed feel of the stay. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and a great start to the day. I would happily recommend Atello to anyone visiting George and would definitely stay here again.

Extraordinary! A special accommodation with the luxury of a hotel but the personal flair of an Airbnb. We felt very welcome! Unfortunately we only had one night but we would definitely come back. The beautiful garden, which has been put together with so much love, is worth a stroll.

The best place we stayed at in South Africa. Beautifully decorated and truly luxurious. The property is stunning, located inside a gated residential estate. Our room had a balcony with an amazing view of the city. It’s a bit farther from the center, close to the Knysna Heads — which was perfect for us. The host was very kind and helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer.

We really enjoyed our stay at Plett 57. It’s run by a lovely, friendly couple who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was large, comfortable, and had everything we needed, and the bathroom was especially spacious and well designed. We honestly have no negative comments - it was a lovely, relaxed stay and a great place to stay in Plettenberg. Would happily return.
