John Rast’s house - a place with history - excellent dive into American history, wonderfully preserved / restored house from 1875 with original interior; Cherri and Mike were wonderful hosts telling the story about the house and its original owners, but they were also sincerely interested in their guests and their background. Great breakfast made by Cherri and Mike, and despite the age of the house, the facilities like bathroom, plumbing and electricity were far above what you get in other hotels. Mike did a high-class job on the renovations which you rarely even find at a luxury resort! We regret that we only stayed for a night but will definitely come back when we get to Oregon again. By the way - Oregon is my new must go destination! Totally underestimated, with so much to see, it doesn’t fit into a single week of vacation.

Lovely property. So many thoughtful details which just add to the stay. It is a comfortable home. We thought we had the whole house to ourselves only to find out that it was fully booked. The owners are friendly and welcoming and quick to clean up.

We were lucky to be upgraded from just a room to a log-cabin-feel accommodation. The three of us could share a place with three bedrooms and a well-stocked kitchen, and the ambience was so nice.
