Wonderful location! Just 2 blocks inland from the waterfront, we could be to the main attractions in 5 minutes. We didn’t rent a car, so a hotel in easy walking distance was fantastic. The hotel is very nice. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was included, which was a nice perk. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all our inquiries.

Balcony in Room 5 was nice to sit and have a beer from the local supermarket (the coffee/pastry shop and small supermarket right past the church are great - staff speak either great English or pretty good English). We overlooked the water- nice. I posted a pic from the balcony. There was also a skylight over the bed if you like stars. Housekeeping was wonderful, and we asked Pedro (very very responsive) for extra towels on Saturday because they're off on Sunday. No problem. Fridge is nice, coffee/pods provided in room were also great, but it was nice to wander down to one of the shops after a day of hiking/sightseeing and sit and have a cup outside. Also- nice places to eat all around, O Recante was fabulous (oh, I'll remember that dessert for a long time) and we had a super nice inexpensive dinner at Muralha's Bar. I can't find any fault with the place other than what I'm sure will be a brief one as they're apparently enlarging the parking area (if they haven't finished already!).

The hosts were wonderfully kind and open, the breakfast was excellent, and the house had a welcoming atmosphere. We truly felt at home and very comfortable throughout our stay.

Beds were very comfortable . It was very clean and had extra blankets and also AC. So we were able to sleep very nicely. The water heater was amazing! After staying in a hotel where The water didn't even heat to adequate warm level, showering in this house felt amazing ! It heated instantly. There was welcome snacks and coffee so we enjoyed that too. Loved everything!!!! Also, loved the labels on everything! It's the small details that mattered so much ❤️

Our stay at Vale dos Ilhéus was absolutely amazing. The place is spotless, very well maintained and decorated with great taste - beautiful wooden details and a cozy bedroom make you feel at home right away. A huge highlight is the outdoor area: the garden is lovely and the view over the green hills and the town is simply breathtaking. The swing is a must, especially at sunset. It’s the perfect spot to relax - peaceful, charming and thoughtfully arranged. 🌱 Most of all, we’ll remember Fatima, the host - incredibly warm, helpful and attentive. She was always easy to reach, gave great advice and truly cared about our comfort. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back! Aurelia and Alberto made us truly feel at home. The house is very cozy and clean, with everything you will need to enjoy your stay. If you need anything, the hosts will go above and beyond to help you and give useful advice to get around the island. We were always looking forward to go back to our accommodation after a long day of discovering the Madeira. The hosts were so sweet that we always received a cup of coffee, tea or a cocktail any time we crossed them. The house itself is located in a very calm area, which is easily accessible by car. We will for sure come back again if we return to Madeira! Thank you

Great view and awesome place to rest. This part of Madeira is much more greener than anywhere else. The host is very helpful and friendly!! Helped us to rent a car for a good price and offered us pick up/drop off from airport with reasonable price.
