We lived with the locals with the inn set down a private road across the main road from Alona Beach. Because of its location, it was quiet and an escape from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street. There is a local store as you walk up to the inn from the main road which is perfect for water or other essentials as you head out for the day or return after your adventures. The rooms were kept faultlessly clean with comfy pillows for a good nights sleep. We would definitely start again on a return visit to Bohol!

I had a great stay here – it’s definitely good value for money. The location is excellent: just a 5–10 minute walk to the beach, and there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and everything else you might need within walking distance. I was also able to rent a nice scooter directly through the owners, which was super easy and convenient. They even gave me a lift to the airport when I left, which I really appreciated! The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and everything I needed was provided. The shower had great pressure, which was a nice bonus. There was no warm water (or I didn’t find the switch), but I honestly didn’t mind – after a hot day outside, the cool shower was actually refreshing.

The place is in the suburbs it's directly on the Pacific Ocean it has a beach behind it which has clean water it is a natural beach there are lots of rock I guess thier to control erosion just wear water shoes at high tide it's so inviting the beach is very safe no deep drops the room and area is very safe it's so relaxing here the host here is extremely pleasant and so helpful all I can say is please don't come here and mess this Gem up bring a smile and a pleasant attitude and the people will welcome you and the host Sherwin is one of the smartest and sweetest host I've met don't be fooled Sherwin is very knowledgeable and willing to make you stay pleasant the Pacific veiw is magnificent what I like is it's natural and clean no garbage there's no real stores in the area so bring food and drinks from Tagbilaran the wifi is good the TV is good the AC is good shower is good and it's hot water here they have a balcony that you can just suck up the Pacific the place has a working kitchen and nice bathroom Im sorry I can go on and on so to close come to enjoy Bohol we experienced all of the attractions here that's to Sherwin . The hosts were amazing being so kind, caring and attentive. We loved everything about this accommodation that we stayed for extra nights. In a very good location just on the outskirts of the main area it provides comfort and quiet. The top of the building is a seated area for sunrise and sunsets. A very functional kitchen allows for cooking your own food - something we did a lot. The rooms are spacious, have great hot showers and are exceptionally clean. There is a kettle, fridge and crockery/cutlery. I'm If our visa was due to expire we would have stayed longer. There are local convenience shops and the beach and the cave are just a short walk away. Laundry services are available on site or hand wash and use the clothesline on the roof for drying. Scooter rental is below the accommodation. All in all we were made to feel part of the family and I would class this as a homestay. We miss the hosts dearly and hope to return again in the future. This was without doubt our best experience in the Philippines for accommodation coupled with location.
