I felt very well taken care of, safe (solo female traveler), and like I was part of the family. It was a perfect balance of time to recharge alone in my room, and also socialize in the common areas and get to know the hosts as well as other travelers. I loved their sweet dogs too. I would definitely come back. Highly recommend.

Location is one of my favourite in French Polynesia, The place has a super peaceful atmosphere and is great to crash after an active holiday in Polynesia. The hosts are brilliant and will encourage exploring the local habitat.

Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Orufara, like walking tours. The guest house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. The location was amazing. Whike snorkling from the property, I saw turtles, a leopard ray, and a few sharks (they are not dangerous). They lent me snorkling gear for free. Easy to access. Markets and restaurants close by and Elodie and Renaud gave me great information on good places to eat at and to see on the island. It's right next to the best public beach on the island in my opinion. Sunset was right over the tip of the island making for great fading light. The family was super nice, starting with Renaud and Elodie. They made my stay a breeze. I would recommend it to anyone.

1.2 km from Papetoai Beach, Chez PASCAL et KIM is a recently renovated property set in Papetoai and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The property provides a pool with a view, a garden and rooms with pool views. This is a lovely property which had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. It is ideally located in Papetoai very close to the Coco Beach parking from where many of our booked activities departed from. The home has a little kitchen which was great for making breakfast/snacks in, and the bed was super comfy. Pascal and Kim were very responsive to our questions and so friendly. We didn't get to use the pool but it is a great amenity to have, as well as the clothesline and outdoor shower. We loved our stay and hope to return one day :)

The area is popular for hiking and walking tours, and bike hire is available at the guest house. We had such a unique stay at Mark's place. It is challenging to stay here without a car, but certainly possible, at least for a couple of days. I liked the camp cabin accommodations. The value for a full kitchen and the number of people who could stay in the cabin comfortably was exceptional. The other guests were friendly, but respectful and quiet on the property when it was night. The option to rent kayaks, surfboards and snorkel gear at a reasonable price is wonderful! There are good food and grocery options within walking distance. We would definitely stay again!

The area is popular for cycling, and free use of bicycles is available at the guest house. I enjoyed the simple elegance of it all. Mark has water sports / surfing stuff available if you need it.Everyone there was friendly and wonderful. If nothing else, even if you do not stay there, stop by and admire their new guest office. The woodwork is simply amazing! They also have stuff for sale too, but the woodwork of the countertop & round windows are worth stopping by to see if you appreciate true craftsmanship.
