I can highly recommend Casa Manila if you are looking for great Hostel in Santa Catalina.
So let me start of with the location. You are located right at the ocean and have stunning view over it. You are perhaps only 20 meters away from the pacific and can take a dip whenever your heart desires. It’s truly the dream location for a hostel.
The owners are even more amazing. Pia and Kike are always looking out for you if you are having a great time and are so friendly and polite doing so.
The kitchen has some great equipment, especially a strong stove. The rooms are amazing and there is nothing to complain about.
All in all I am very happy with my choice, so much so that I extended my stay multiple times

The most fascinating about the stay was the beach. Going there is a very short walk from the house and not steep at all. It is very safe for swimming and you almost always have it for yourself. To be honest, the most beautiful place I have ever seen so far.
Don't miss the Berry Bowl for breakfast. :-)
Very beautiful house and huge rooms. Gabi and all her staff were amazing. Always there to assist and provide information.
The mattress was wonderful. Seems to be a very good quality.
The restaurant and pool area is cosy and clean and invites you to spend all day there.

The stay in Coiba house was incredible! To keep it short: the location is really perfect and clean, the host is super nice and helpful and the entire stay was just an experience. I wasn't looking forward to a shared bathroom, but it wasn't a problem at all: nice and clean.

The rooms were spacious and very clean. as well the kitchen. They cleaned your room during the stay on demand. The guys at the reception are really really nice and help where ever they can, even provided a map with recommendations. we also had a good sleep. Highly recommended !

I stayed here twice over the course of two months of travel through Panama. Santiago is a nice halfway point between places I was headed to and I absolutely loved my stay there. The hosts are super friendly, the garden is lovely - hammocks, nice tables, outdoor kitchen. The place is very clean and the dorm, (where I stayed), super comfy and calm. Highly recommend :)

Nice quiet place! It has an old part I think with some dorms and rooms with shared toilet and shared outdoor kitchen. We stayed in the brand new building and the room was large and well clean and comfy! The pool is nice and clean and the restaurant good priced, simple food but well cooked. It is still under construction so it doesn’t have the best vibe atm and the pool is just under the sun all day, but they are still working on it. Also it js a bit separated from the centre of town so you do not get noise nor weird people :)
Great location in the heart of Santa Catalina, but still quite quiet in the evenings. Rooms were clean and AC worked well, bathroom was a good size and the property felt safe and secure. A nice little cafe downstairs for breakfast and lunch and close to the trip operators and bus stop for buses to Sona and onwards.
Host was great! Spoke English! They were also able to save my food for me as my cooler had broken. The owner cut up my Avocado for me in the am before I left! SO VERY COURTEOUS!!!
I would highly recommend as a short night's stay in Santiago! Very cute place, rooms were probably average for hotels, nothing fancy. the grounds were cute and area secured and locked and attendant at night spoke English and was very helpful!
