From the moment we arrived she was warm, welcoming and incredibly attentive to our needs. One of the highlights of our stay was when she took us to a beautiful lookout giving us a chance to enjoy stunning views. She went beyond in every way including kindly dropping us off at the interislander terminal. We are very grateful for her hospitality and would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area. A wonderful host and am unforgettable experience!

Facilities outstanding for such an isolated location: including smart tv hot tub and the freshest most delicious foods provided for self catering. Owners went out of their way to be friendly and accomodating! Loved Oscar the friendliest Springer Spaniel.

Loved everything! Our hosts were super friendly, welcoming and helpful, but gave us 100% privacy. The property itself is beautiful and superbly presented with quality inclusions and furnishings. You feel instantly at home and we found it very relaxing. The amazing vineyard settling also helped, and being able to gaze up at the stars and Milky Way from the super comfy bed was breathtaking! Well stocked kitchen and breakfast supplies were appreciated as were the homely touches like fresh flowers and cookies and chocolates. A standout all round and we can’t wait for our next stay!!!

The guest house provides mountain views, a picnic area and a 24-hour front desk. Beautiful, peaceful, idyllic location right by the water at Queen Charlotte Sound. We enjoyed walking the last leg of the famous Queen Charlotte track, which was a wonderful, relatively easy track offering superb views. Jumped off the jetty for a swim in the sound and within 2 mins having a hot shower at the apartment. Tanya and Shayne could not have made us more welcome. They clearly enjoy sharing their piece of paradise, and their enthusiasm is addictive. Very comfortable bed, great shower, well equipped kitchen, peaceful sleep. Don't hesitate to book and stay as long as you possibly can. You won't regret it! We've stayed in some gorgeous places in the South Island and this one was our favourite. In other words yes a fantastic fun host. Travelling with my elderly parents. Tracee was accommodating understanding of my parents with limited mobility.
