The staff are particularly amazing - super helpful and get back you by WhatsApp quickly, and with any information you need - even on their day off! The actual house is breezy, clean and the deck is the perfect place to sit and relax with a drink (the beds are comfy and the linen is nice too). The location is on the other side of the island so you would probably need an ATV or scooter - we didn't do this as we had our 5 year old with us - we walked. But they can organise that for you. We loved the books (especially the kids books!), the grounds to run and play with our son, the dogs that hang out and the overall homey feel of place. Having David (sorry if that's spelt wrong!) helping us, made our stay easy, safe, and made us feel at ease. Thank you!

They have the biggest hearts and they also keep the facility very clean and comfortable feeling. We will miss this place for sure

Boasting inner courtyard views, Casa Caimana offers accommodation with patio, around 35 km from Maderas Volcano. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. We endet up staying longer than planned because we enjoyed it so much! It's a very calm place, clean room anf they let you use the kitchen. The family is also very sweet!

Danilo was helpful in every aspect. Whether it was getting a great deal for a scooter, or recommendations on where to eat or what activities were available, he was on top of it all. Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Balgue, like cycling. We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)
