Dar Rio Oro was an important stopover for us, and although the host was not present, she communicated with us throughout and ensured we had all the information needed for our onward journey into Mauritania. The guesthouse itself is beautiful and offers some of the best value in Dakhla, a city where prices are often inflated. The staff were incredibly accommodating, making a clear effort to engage with us despite language barriers. They even allowed us to leave our car while we travelled to Mauritania and kindly drove us to the bus station early in the morning.

I had a wonderful stay here. The location is quiet and peaceful, yet close to the airport. The room was well-furnished and spotless clean. I especially appreciated the bonus of having access to a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, and all necessary utensils. Everything was in perfect condition. The attention to detail and comfort made my stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I had a great stay at Mia Dakhla Resort! The staff was super kind and respectful, and the food was really good. They’ll even make whatever dish you ask for. The room was clean and cozy too. I enjoyed my time there and will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Rooms were quite comfortable and had a cheap, but cozy vibe. The staff were exceptional, they went above and beyond expectations. There was even a lady who cleaned the entire apartment every morning, which was great when you share a space with others.
The location was not in Dakhla, but a very nearby village only 6dh away from the city center. And the apartment was about a 2 minute walk away from a nice boardwalk and coastline on the lagoon side.

A comfortable, family-owned guest house in downtown Dakhla. this very solid building was built over a period of 2 years by the French owners. The interior walls are very solid so the rooms are wonderfully silent.
Breakfast is served each morning in a communal dining room.
A highlight of my stay was a day trip with Sidi (the neighbour) who took me in his 4WD into the desert.
