Loved the meals would like to thank Sanka and his wife for their hospitality. Also the little cat that kept us company. And the excellent birdwatching and boat ride. They accommodated my friends fasting times and woke up early to make her breakfast and take us out also arranged all our transport in the city and to sigriya.

Ravi makes delicious breakfast with lots of fresh fruits. He even made us a takeaway breakfast when we had to leave early for elephant safari. Ravi organized bikes for us to use to see the ruins. He also set up an elephant safari with an excellent guide, Shiron. He was knowledgeable and showed us some incredible birds. He had a knack for getting us in the right spots for elephant viewing and was respectful to give the elephants space. Highly recommend a trip with him. We also recommend the morning trip as he said in the afternoons sometimes there are 200 jeeps!

I only had one night here but I loved this place. I was given a welcome drink, the room was spotlessly clean, the shower was fantastic, the TV worked, and the bed and pillow were the most comfortable I've had in Sri Lanka. Amazing value for money.

The apartments are located close to the sights, the lake and shops, but far enough from the busy main street. The host was very attentive and willing to help us with anything and completely arranged a safari for us, including transportation. He also lent us bikes, which we used to ride around the lake one day and the next day to ride through the historical ruins. We spent 3 nights in the villa and it was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend to everyone.

You can also hire a bicycle at the property for 800 LKR. Kalum, the property owner, does great elephant safaris. His safaris are better than organized tours, cause he doesn't follow 10 other jeeps. He will take you different route, where you get to see more elephants without disturbing them and from really close up. I had a jeep to myself and i absolutely loved it! Would highly recommend this safari. You can also buy precious stones from Kalum, as his family runs a mine and have been in a business for many years. Kalum is very knowledgeable about many things and will look after you. The property has very good WIFI.
