They arranged everything for us at ease and great prices. We stayed for 2 nights. Our flight landed at 3am and Sunshine Villas had pickup waiting to bring us straight to the accommodation. On arrival they had a beautiful breakfast waiting. They then accommodated our early check in. After a nap we were brought to the elephant safari by one of the sunshine villa staff which was incredible. They then arranged a tuk tuk driver for us for day 2! I couldnt rate more highly! The staff are so helpful and polite. The room was immaculate with hot water, and a choice of air con or a fan! I would rate 10/10

We met the owner, lovely and so attentive. The cabin was very cute and clean. We had a terrace with couple of chairs to chill. Also have hammocks. On top of the cabin there is the tree house where the staff organised breakfast for us. The tree house has increíble views. Peaceful place. Full of trees, cero noise except for the birds. We spent hours and hours just chilling and relaxing. Everything was so easy. This was really the highlight of our trip, nothing have been as good as this place. The staff are there to really make your life easier so you just spend the time enjoying. A heavenly tropical escape. Thank you so much. We will miss this place.

At the guest house, units come with bed linen and towels. We had the most incredible stay at Yashi’s place. The rooms for spotless and comfortable and the location very convenient. It’s a family-run property, who are nothing less than absolutely delightful and very accommodating. Our meals were freshly prepared, delicious and plentiful. They offer Sri Lankan cooking lessons onsite which I highly recommend! A lot of the ingredients we used were collected from the garden 🥰 I’m so looking forward to visiting again in the future and would recommend this place to all!

The beautifully maintained garden is filled with vibrant plants and flowers, offering plenty of cozy spots to relax—whether in a hammock, at a dining area, or playing table games. Being in the middle of nature, you can expect the delightful sounds of wildlife, including peacocks. It truly adds to the charm of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sri Lankan food. The meals were not only delicious but also generously portioned. I highly recommend skipping outside restaurants and instead asking the staff to prepare dinner for you—you won’t be disappointed!

The rooms were very clean, decorated with flowers etc. The breakfast was the best. They gave us great tips, suggestions for our trip. We felt like we are part of the family. The facility is very close to the Dambulla Cave Temple but it is also in a very silent corner with a great garden. You can see monkeys, giant squirrel, birds and other wildlife just around the facility. We definitely suggest this place to anyone traveling around Dambulla.

Really nice place in a calm area, although close to city center. Rooms are really clean and spacious, breakfasts are tasty and the stuff is really kind and helpful. Great start of our Sri Lanka holiday.

The hosts were absolutely amazing and the included breakfast was delightful. We chose to have dinner 4 nights in a row, choosing their vegetarian rice & curry as it was both delicious and very affordable compared to other restaurants in the area. The hosts were lovely, helpful, and always quick to respond to any of our questions, including arranging an early morning tuktuk for us. The wifi was functional for basic searches, but we recommend having some books to read to truly indulge in the experience. We definitely recommend staying here!

I l strongly recommend this place to any traveler looking for some relaxing atmosphere. The family was very nice and super helpful in helping me to plan my stay. They provided very useful recommendations and help with ordering tuktuk. The food was the best I had in Sri Lanka so far, highly recommend to enjoy your dinner there. The room was very nice and clean, AC, huge bathroom. The garden was very pretty. The guesthouse is located a bit outside of the main road but the village is accessible by foot. Last but not least, I did the safari with the owner, which was one of the best experience I had. Safari was in Hurulu Forest Reserve, a very nice forest, and we saw lots of (baby) elephants. Highly recommended!
