Sun Shine Villa was a great spot for us to stay in Sigiriya. Dinesh and his family are very accommodating, and help make your stay memorable. Great location, couple minutes tuk tuk to town and main attractions.

The staff was amazing. Always available to make our stay better. They arrange tuk tuk, safari and transport to our next destination. We met the owner, lovely and so attentive. The cabin was very cute and clean. We had a terrace with couple of chairs to chill. Also have hammocks. On top of the cabin there is the tree house where the staff organised breakfast for us. The tree house has increíble views. Peaceful place. Full of trees, cero noise except for the birds. We spent hours and hours just chilling and relaxing. Everything was so easy. This was really the highlight of our trip, nothing have been as good as this place. The staff are there to really make your life easier so you just spend the time enjoying. A heavenly tropical escape. Thank you so much. We will miss this place.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The patties were some of the best I’ve ever had. They also served bananas grown on their own farm, called "Naga bananas." I was surprised by their rich, sticky texture. Whenever I asked for help with things I wanted to do or places I wanted to visit, they immediately made arrangements. They were incredibly reliable and helpful. Also, their child was so cute—it was very heartwarming.

Everything was great, very clean large room with good furniture, hot water in the bathroom, everything is new and modern, thought out to the smallest detail, stylish and there are interesting design solutions. Service: The service here is top-notch, primarily because it's a family-run business. Both hosts are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The room itself was absolutely gorgeous, there is nothing I would change. The area around it makes it all worthwhile. Don't go looking for food in Sigiriya, they will cook you dinner that is unforgettable. Best food I have had so far. We asked him to surprise us instead of us choosing and it was the best decision ever. If I ever do come back, I will not think twice about booking here again, even if it's for the food itself. If you walk down towards the main road of Sigiriya, you will find a little stand with handmade wooden statues for a great price. Cheapest we've found so far!

Very nice operator of this homestay. Jeep tour to the elephants was very impressive. The elephant families were 5 to 10 meters away from the jeep.... Without being disturbed. He also had a few other good ideas about what to do in the area. Breakfast very good and plenty. Absolute recommendation
