The couple that owned the property were very sweet and helpful, we stayed there during the cyclone with out electricity and water . But the did everything they could to make sure that we were safe.

We had an amazing stay at Kandy Tree Tops. The owner UPUL is super nice , he has a great family , his oldest daughter is PHD of Harvard University . Hhis young daughter is won a lot swimming races , he showed us round his cozy home and shared with us some nice photos and stories of his family . All beyond our expectations, food was fresh and tasty and we enjoyed eating our breakfast on the balcony with a beautiful view. It’s well located - easily commutable to the main attractions, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city to have a peaceful nights sleep. It is one of our most favourite places we have stayed at during our trip to Sri Lanka. Would highly recommend.

We were welcomed with a very delicious welcome drink (best juice I had so far one the whole trip!). The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The family were very friendly and helpful. Over the delicious breakfast we always had a chance to engage in a great conversation with the host and get some tips / recommendation. The host was also quick to reply to messages. The breakfast itself as said was delicious and best about it there was variation not always the same! We were also given the option to book dinner. The garden was lovely too sit in, to just have a moment to relax. The guest house is a bit out of town, however, when you book a Tuk Tuk via one of the apps it was only 350 Rupees to town (as of Jan 25) so really nothing to comment about ;)

Our stay at Jaye's homestay was great. We had a beautiful view of the city. The room was very clean and well equipped. The owner speaks very good English and always told us lots of interesting information about Sri Lanka and gave us lots of good tips on what to look out for and what is worth seeing in Sri Lanka. The accommodation has a great location, it's a short walk from the city centre but at the same time it's very peaceful and quiet so you can watch the city in the evening and enjoy the atmosphere. We definitely recommend everyone to visit this place.
