I also appreciate the board with upcoming events around. Makai is at a ~6 min walk from the main street and in front of a bus stop in this main street, convenient to go to downtown or surf spots. Even more convenient if you have a motorbike. Some of the restaurants nearby are good so you can just walk to get good food. Would recommend!

He really looked after us and always gave ussome useful tips regarding transport. His breakfast was legendary with a wild array of choices. Overall highly recommend this place as it was cosy clean and close to the beach.

Everything was perfect: location (on the main road), healthy &tasty breakfasts, clean and cozy rooms, nice pool. 100% recommend this place.

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! In terms of location and being right on the beach, you can't ask for more, we loved it. The room was exceptionally clean and we really appreciated having a little fridge too, which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was very tasty, and Saman and his family looked after us during our stay. We have stayed in seven different places so far whilst in Sri Lanka, and this one is in our top two. The room is very spacious and clean, and the guest house is very close to atms, supermarkets, and of course the beach.
