The most beautiful family of hosts that went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The rooms are brand new, very clean and tidy and well presented. The food menu was simple and the food incredibly tasty... and extremely good value! Organised a full day safari jeep at a fantastic rate for us. The hospitality can not be over-stated... absolutely beautiful family! Definitely recommend.

Very clean. Everything was new and it semelles amazing. The caretaker was very polite and cooked is incredible dinner. If you want to do the Safari, this place is perfect. We booked a Safari with getyourguide but you can also book directly with them.

We had an amazing experience in Wikpattu Mooklan Resort! The owner and his son were taking care of us all the time and organized a great safari! It was a full day trip at a very affordable price, We managed to see 3 leopards, bear, elefant, crocodiles, tones of deers, and many, many other species of mammals, reptiles and birds. At night we could hear a lot of animals and it was an extremely peaceful time. The food was delicious and made with love. Absolutely recommended place!

The host Kalahara is kind and helpful and treats guests as his family.Nothing is too much for him. PROPERTY: Lovely homestay surrounded by trees and lovely garden.The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. All the facilities like hot water, airconditioning, water pressure etc was perfect. BREAKFAST:Our breakfast was included and it was the best we had in Srilanka.Its varied everyday and its plentiful and very tasty.(SEE PHOTOS) We had 2 dinners cooked by his wife and they were delicious and generous portions. TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. We stayed two nights at Nilu’s and Malsha’s homestay, and it was absolutely amazing. After three weeks of traveling in Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura was our final stop before heading back to Colombo, and both my partner and I agreed that these last two days were the highlight of our trip. Malsha was a fantastic host. She gave us excellent recommendations, prepared fresh and delicious breakfasts, and even did our laundry. We truly felt at home during our stay. The entire family is incredibly sweet and welcoming. They also arranged a guided tour of the ancient city with their friend Kamal, which turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Having done several guided tours during our trip, we can confidently say that this one was the best by far. The value for money here is unbeatable and the location was also exactly what we had in mind. The homestay is situated in a quiet residential area, which we loved, and it’s only a quick 5-minute tuk-tuk ride to the city center. Thank you, Nilu and especially thank you Malsha, for an incredible stay. We highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Anuradhapura!

What a lovely place to stay, wish it was longer. Air con worked great. Friendly dog that guarded our room at night, so cute. Our host was lovely, calling us the day before to get the check in time right. And also made us a late delicious breakfast after we came back from our safari.

We stayed in this lovely home for two nights and I think that this was my favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The hosts are fantastic people, friendly and helpful and always with a smile. The rooms are simple but have everything that you need and have a lovely terrace within the beautiful gardens. But best of all is the food. We had breakfast and dinner on both days and we were served a selection of home cooked, Sri Lankan treats that were delicious. All together a fabulous experience that I’d happily pay more for.
