I loved my stay at Golden Sun Boutique Hotel. The hotel is very nice, relaxing, typically the kind of hotel you want to stay in a beautiful city such as Luang Prabang. It was beautifully decorated, Asian Style. The room was very nice. The bathroom was big and nice. It was quiet and clean. The location is great. It's central and in the old city, just near the morning and the night market and the Mekong. All sites to visit are at a walking distance. Lisa is such a kind and helpful person. She did everything to make my stay as easy as possible. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay there again whenever I come back to Luang Prabang again. I highly recommend this hotel!

At the guest house, all units have bed linen and towels. The location was very close to the center, the rooms were well arranged with many details. The shower was a bit small, but otherwise the bathroom was nice and clean. The breakfast a la carte was perfect and we could even order more if we felt hungry. The breakfast area is nice, spatious and child friendly. The lady working in the mornings Tanoy, was the sweetest and nicest person. You can also rent bikes and Tanoy helped us to organize transport to the waterfalls.

The location could not be more perfect for access to the night market and the old town, while still being a "quiet yet lively" area with bars, restaurants and ATMs nearby. The office for booking tours and vans for onward travel are next store and they know the hotel owners, so coordinating travel and activities is very easy. The owners are extremely kind - they will go out of their way to make sure that you are well-talen-care of, and they stay on site, so they are often available for anything that comes up. The husband's English is very good, he will talk with you and tell you about local life if you are interested :-) Also, the included breakfast was a great start to every morning. Overall very high value for money here.
