The 2F room has a spacious bathing room, plus the washer and balcony to hang the clothes. The toilet is separate from the bathroom; this saves time when you have multiple people living together. This is very rare to find in Japan unless you spend a fortune i guess. This is the first place i found without feeling crowded in the private bathroom/toilet. 2. No need to sort the garbage. This is a bit stressing to foreign visitors. We still separated the recycled from other trash, but we are glad we dont have to figure out the all different categories. 3. The fragrance at the gate is appealing. It says Muji Woody. Now I remember it. 4. The location is so convenient that we spend most of the time in the neighborhood. We walked down to the next metro station and we were surprised that even if it is 2km away, we didnt feel it that far. Perhaps watching the skytree on the way back is so fun that you forgot the coldness and tiredness. Kids enjoyed it too. 5. The host is very friendly and thoughtful. We really appreciate it 6. The building is very close to the railway. Kids found it fun when the train went by. I personally are not bothered either. it is a unique experience.

The building is beautiful and comfortable - with plenty of space for many guests. The owner is also a very kind woman, who is happy to give advice on places to go to and see.

What an amazing night at guesthouse toco. Im thought im not a hostel kind of person, but i was lured by the FREE complementary first drink and dove in. It turned into an amazing night talking and having fun with other guests. Wow. Would stay again. ありがとうございますはるかさん! Also the samurai drink is my new favorite. I wonder what exactly is it haha

The place has been nicely renovated but still has much of the old charm. The colours used make it modern, vibrant and inviting. Our host was kind and welcoming. And the place offered anything we needed and more (Oshima island is lovely!). The town is easily accessible via public transport and the place is a short 5-7min upward walk away from the busstop of habu port. Apparently the place next door sells oshima brewed ipa's but there were out during our visit.
