Also the room with the futon beds is also a great way to start your trip in Japan. You sleep on a tamati mat too. Ideally set in the Sumida Ward district of Tokyo, 5min walk to Tokyo Skytree Sta -HANA ASAKUSA- is situated 500 metres from Hatonomachidori Shopping Street, less than 1 km from Aizome Museum and a 9-minute walk from Tsukada Kobo. This property is located a short distance from attractions such as Kamejimashogakko Memorial Park, Sumida Cultural Museum, and Tobu Museum. Ushijima Shrine is 1.4 km from the guest house. - an unique experience staying in a traditional Japanese house and sleep on the tatami floor - it’s in a very quiet local neighborhood and we love it! The area has many nice restaurants and café. There is a 7-11 within few minutes walk. - the checkin and checkout process is straight forward with a code, Kazuki-San sent all the manual in advance so everything is clear :) - it’s near to two train stations (less than 10 minutes walk): skytree oshiage and hikifune. Both stations can easier get to all the lines and skyaccess to NARITA airport. - coffee and tea are provided, as well as bath salt, bath soap, shampoo and even laundry detergent! Also there is a microwave and fridge to be shared and some games that we can play (uno card etc). We have everything we needed for our one week stay and everything was perfect! - it’s warm and cozy in the room (second floor) with the air-cond well functioned. The mattress is comfortable too. - we don’t get bother by any train noise too, it’s really nothing when all the doors are closed.

Easy to access, and love having the facilities to wash clothes and cook meals. Decent cupboard spaces for storing clothes and keeping suitcases out of the way. View from top floor is lovely, the Skytree is so pretty at night.

The owners were so kind, they were even willing to accommodate our lack of Japanese language skills. The breakfast on the porch in the morning was such a treat, highly recommended it. Also, the location was great, the room had an amazing view of the Tama Rive Gorge! The room was well equipped and roomy. I also liked that it was within walking distance of the river walk and other sites.

Host available and helpful. Location perfect to stay in a residential, quiet Tokyo area (perfect if you prefer, as I do, to be away from the tourist crowds and closer to the locals). Supermarkets and nice sento nearby.

I loved how clean and well equipped it is! The bathtub is amazing as well. Very rare to find in Japan. After hiking all day, I could take a long hot bath and just allow myself to fully rest. It was wonderful! Their shop next door was a great addition and convenience. I’m obsessed with the passion fruit cider they had there!!!
