At first I was surprised by the good ratings, but it was indeed well deserved! The staff was very friendly and the guesthouse is very spacious, with a great view to the mountain and the sea. Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The location is 10mins walk from the train and bus station. The facility is very clean, and they have lot of common space (check bottom and top floor) available if you choose a dormitory bed or small room. I stayed in a single small room and I had a balcony view. The staff is very helpful, and they try their best to keep the space comfortable. You will have to take out your shoes and there is ample number of sleepers available. Every floor has a coin laundary available. They have huge common washbasin sinks to do your business. The common washroom cleanliness was satisfactory. I have no complaints from my three nights stay here.

We loved Ken and Yuki’s hospitality! They have a precious house in a privileged location with amazing facilities. They were keen to help with anything we needed and were proactive on helping us with our travel plans. The food is also something worth mentioning, they cook delicious meals with locally produced products.
