We talked and learned a lot :) the room was big and comfortable, the view and singing of the birds in the morning made the day brighter :)

The staff is especially friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And you can get amazing home-cooked meals too! If you want to go out of the beaten path and explore the rural side of Japan, this is absolutely the best place!

We ate together, chatted together, they told me all the best onsen and restaurants around the house. They were so kind, it’s hard to describe. The house was cleaned and functional and there are a lot of onsen and restaurants at a walking distance from there. I stayed one more day just to be around those people more. The communal areas were really comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly want - including lovely pottery. The host was extremely helpful and caring. Only 5 minutes walk from the station and 15 minutes to convenience stores. This would make an ideal base for trips to Hirazumi, the gorge, and the Goishi Coast - I really wish I had stayed longer.

Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home—it wasn’t just a place to sleep, it truly felt like staying with family. Their house told a story, filled with warmth, history, and the little personal touches that made it feel lived-in and loved. From the amazing homemade breakfast to the delicious ramen dinners they prepared, every meal was made with care and love. The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from a supermarket and a laundromat, which made things really easy for us. This personal, welcoming experience truly made our trip special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, off-the-beaten-path experience in Japan. ありがとうございます

Sendai Toshogu is 21 km away and Rakuten Seimei Park Miyagi is 22 km from the guest house. The room is dark enough at night. I had the most deep sleep during the trip. It’s cozy place. The owner is always welcoming you at the door, feeling safe with his presence. He is a warm and nice guy. He helped me to take the heavy luggage upstairs. It’s close to the sightseeing temples in a walkable distance.There is a restaurant open until 8pm nearby. Convenient place.
