To get the best from this property, get stuck in and meet the other guests, it's such a relaxed, fun atmosphere. A very nice place on the outskirts of Iiyama. Within about 30-40min walk you can get to the spots of interest in Iiyama (museums, shopping street, etc). I found the house to be spacious and clean. It felt like being at my parents' place. The hosts are very kind and caring. They can accomodate within reason pick up at Iiyama station. The hosts recommended me attractions of interest in Iiyama. I enjoyed them a lot. I went in a rainy day and so my things were wet. Especially my shoes, the hosts did their best at drying them without me having to ask or anything. They also provided a place to put my bicycle so it would be protected from the rain. In the morning, they shared home grown watermelon with me. In short, I felt welcomed and I had a warming experience. I absolutely recommend choosing this guest house.

The hard work and care they put into the Guest House and customers can be felt through every nook and cranny of the property. I was picked up by Koji-san from the bus terminal to the Guest House where Chikako welcomed me and showed me the premises. I was traveling solo and booked a female dorm room, a cozy traditional room with tatami flooring. The property also has a great hot bath that rejuvenates the body after a day of skiing or snowboarding. You can put down your name on a whiteboard for breakfast time and which slope you would like to go to. In the morning Chikako made breakfast for all of us that consisted of eggs, toast, bacon, coffee, cornflakes, yogurt, orange juice; everything you need. Then Koji-san drove me to the slope of my choice and even picked me up after. I couldn’t have wished for better hosts, they made me feel so welcome and safe that I will definitely come back again with family and friends to show them this wonderful hidden gem in the Japanese Alps.
