This guesthouse is located along one of the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes and Yunomine Hot Spring, said to be one of the oldest hot springs baths in Japan, is a 5-minute walk from the property. Everything is excellent. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

It is a lovely Japanese 100 year old house the owners have converted to a guesthouse/hostel. It feels like you are staying in a home. The owners are friendly and speak English well. We arrived 3.5 before check-in but my husband was very sick with a head cold. They kindly cleaned our room quickly so my husband could lie down. There is a full kitchen to use with stove top, microwave, fridge, dishes, coffee and tea all day. There is a lovely lounge area to use. There are shared toilets and showers but I never had to wait for either and the water is hot. Wifi worked great. Their breakfast to order is only 600Y with eggs, toast, yogurt and jam/butter. Yuzan is located minutes from the train station and we walked to all the sights within Nara Park. I highly recommend this guesthouse!
