The place is BEAUTIFUL. They really did a good job rebuilding a Japanese traditional style home which is also quite modern at the same time. Common areas and the rooms are well taken care of. Everything was perfectly clean and both the bathrooms and the kitchen are fully furnished and very comfortable to use. The staff is also very helpful when needed, even if they might not be at the reception all the time.

We spent two nights here-- good shower, well-heated rooms, excellent location, and an absolutely darling host. She made us dinner reservations and dropped everything to help us make phone calls when we were looking for a missing item. Felt like staying with my own grandmother!

An authentic home restored beautifully by Dani and Evan! The touches of original furniture and vintage furnishings really set this house apart from anywhere else I have stayed in Japan. A beautiful cosy japanese house in a beautiful valley perfect for a group of friends or a family. Wonderful owners who were super friendly. They clean the bathtub everyday, tell everything about the area of things to do, let you rent the grill or other things, and then they even gave us some free vegetables from a nearby farm.
