The hosts were welcoming and attentive and did everything to help us and make us feel good and comfortable.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in February. Ken san and Yuki san were delightful. The property was very clean and comfortable. They renovated the inn themselves and you can see care and attention in every detail from materials used to decor. The food was delicious and much of it was grown (rice) or made (plum wine) by Ken or Yuki. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and side trips. They ensured we were prepared with all the details required to ensure we had successful adventures. We are so lucky to have we picked the Sakonomichi. It was sugoi!!!

Nice bathroom with separated toilet. Glimpse of Mt Fuji from the 1st floor apartment window. We only spent one night but found this to be the best value option in Kofu. Self check in was a multi step process as some of the reviews say buy it's ok if you follow the instructions in the right order. Have fun with it!

They went above and beyond by picking us up from the station when we arrived and even taking us back on our last day, helping with our luggage and giving us a lovely send-off. It made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Such kindness and care are rare to find – highly recommend staying here!
