The family-run Guesthouse 1x6 is in the old part of Keflavík, a 7-minute drive from Keflavik International Airport and a 20-minute drive from the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. Andi and Yuki are truly the epitome of exceptional, welcoming hosts. When reading the reviews prior to booking it all seemed too good to be true. The minute Andi picked us up from the airport, however, we understood exactly what everyone meant. We only got to stay one night at 1x6, but in that night we got to connect with people all over the world, and made some new friends from Oregon. The added homemade breakfast as great, and they were ready to help with anything we needed. For our next trip to Iceland, we’ll for sure be back!

The host is a super friendly person. There are two hot tubs available and there’s not so many rooms in that motel so they never get crowded, actually we were alone there all the time. There’s a free parking right in front of the property.

This guest house is 20 minutes’ drive from the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa and 10 km from Keflavik International Airport. It offers breakfast from 06:00, plus free Wi-Fi and private parking. We got a free upgrade to the hotel rather than the guesthouse so can't comment on the rooms there, but the hotel was lovely and the breakfast that is included with both was great!
