The house is practically on the water, creating a serene and unique atmosphere. The family running the posada is incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. It’s important to note that the house is not located in Flores itself but on the opposite side of the lake. To get there, you’ll need to take a small local boat that runs every five minutes for just 10Q. This adds an extra touch of charm and adventure to your stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. While the WiFi is typical for Guatemala—not very strong—it’s enough for basic needs around 5-6 Mbps Overall, it’s a wonderful experience for those looking to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the lake and the warmth of local hospitality. Highly recommended!

Hilda helped us do our laundry, stored our luggage during our 5 day trek, and even helped bring us to Flores on a 4:45 am early lancha. The area is lovely, calm, and a short boat ride from Flores. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Huge shared and well equipped kitchen. When we were asking for some oil, they bought some for us in a couple of minutes. Very nice and welcoming guys. Laundry room. Calm area. 8min foot walk to the airport, so perfect if you have an early flight to catch.

The shared bathroom was always clean and the Wi-Fi was reliable. Also liked that there was a mounted fan for temperature control, and the room had a good number of outlets for charging devices. Great value for the price, would definitely recommend it to other travelers!
