We LOVED everything about Alma Cliffe (well, perhaps not the steps, LOL). Our host Tracey was fabulous in very way, and our room (and bathroom) were spacious, clean, and comfortable (with special personal touches and supplies for our every need). Breakfast was great, and the front garden, spectacular view, gorgeous nearby countryside, and short walk into this quaint town 'on our path' made this affordable lodging a clear favorite~

Absolutely fantastic host. So friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Spotlessly clean and quiet. Shared lounge which was empty when we were there. Fridge in the lounge if you need it. I have been back 4-5 times now as it’s a great place to stop over on a work (or leisure) trip - lovely clean and spacious rooms, lots of hot water, parking and very quiet. The breakfast is ‘do it yourself’ continental but that gives you more flexibility - and there is always loads of food, plus nice touches like milk and orange juice left in a fridge in your room.

The property is nice, clean, and cosy. The room is fully equipped and has a really nice and comfortable bed. I loved the view from my room. It was amazing to wake up in the morning. The owner is friendly and accommodating. Tasty breakfast in the morning was an added plus. I would recommend it to everyone. The owner was even nice enough to send my earphones that I left in the car back.
