We booked 2 rooms which are on the 1st floor (not ground floor) so there's a short flight of stairs to contend with. The host was very welcoming and helped us with our luggages up the flight of stairs. They provided extras (eg. the bath had a brandnew bath sponge for our use) which we were not expecting and really made the place memorable. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Just for information, the double room has a bathtub and small fridge (the twin room only has a shower and no fridge). I would book again if I was in Abergavenny.

Fantastic location with an amazing view of the lake. The room had character but was tastefully decorated. The entrance and staircase is incredible! Breakfast was top notch. It was a great stay.

Christine was an absolute legend start to finish. I wasn't sure I could make the date I sent originally and Christine was very accommodating. We received a warm welcome and a thorough check in. My friends and I were doing a hike up Pen y Fan leaving very early in the morning. Christine made us a packed lunch to go full of the essentials and more. That afternoon, I returned in a bit of a state, cold and wet. Christine offerred to dry some of my wet clothes and I had a lovely long warm shower. To top it off, we all had a made to order full english on Sunday morning. Christine is an amazing host and we enjoyed her company and her husband's in a beautiful environment. 10/10 - we would visit again! P.S T to top if off, I left some headphones in Brecon which Christine offerred to post on. A star of stars!
