She prepared a really delicious meal for us too, surprised us with decoration for our honeymoon and turned on the whirlpool just for us. Everything was great and it's a good spot to start to the quiltao Lagune and rest when it's raining.

She is a very gifted chef and will cook delicious meals for you while you stay there. Quilotoa itself seems to be going through a boom of people opening hostels and restaurants, we visited during low season and hence it seemed that the town was half empty. Prices are ridiculous cheap for what you can get. Our room had a king size bed, a little fireplace that warmed us through the night and a private bathroom with boiling water- everything that you can wish after a good day of hike. While in there we hiked Quilotoa rim, but also did the short hike to the bottom of the crater and back. All free hikes. Highly recommended to visit and to stay in this hostal. It’s conveniently place right by the entry of the town.
